Kelvinator Washing Machine Reviews
The Kelvinator washing machine has been a part of the modern household for decades. Produced by Electrolux, this line of washers and dryers has managed to tap into its own niche market and gained the trust and appreciation of various end-users for its efficiency and performance.
About Kelvinator
Kelvinator is a name that is well-known for being the pioneer in electric refrigeration in the United States. Since the time it was first introduced into the market in the 1920’s the company has gone through several changes and even going under the management of other appliance and electronics giants. Kelvinator is currently an appliance brand owned by Electrolux. While the latter has its own line of washing machines, the Kelvinator washing machine is still available in the market until today.
Washer and dryer combination
Kelvinator’s current washer/dryer model comes with all the basics that are expected of such a machine. The front-loader comes with eighteen different wash cycle options, four detergent compartments and a wash capacity of 5.0 kg. The only probable flaw of this particular model can be seen in its modest 850 RPM maximum spin speed. This means that it may take longer for clothes to dry on this Kelvinator washing machine compared to other models in the market today.
Front Loaders
Model KFLB6BMHSWM leads the line of front loading Kelvinator washing machines with its rated capacity of 6.0 kg. It’s a good choice for larger households with more demanding laundry concerns as it comes with a special wool program and water saving features. Kelvinator’s line of front loaders all comes with child-safety lock mechanism and a fixed spin speed of 600 RPM which still leaves a lot of room for improvement.
Top Loaders
With top loaders, the Kelvinator washing machine makes for a suitable choice for larger households. This line of washers comes with a rated capacity from seven to twelve kg. The 12kg tub fares slightly better than the front loaders with its 720 RPM spin speed although it’s still slower than most modern models. It also comes with side handles so the user can easily transfer it to another area. Other convenient features in this model include its fabric softener and liquid bleach dispenser and its twenty wash cycle options.
On the whole, Kelvinator washing machines come across as good choices if you’re gunning for simply the basics and you expect nothing more from your washer than the basic wash, rinse and dry functions. If you’re not after innovative features, you will probably find yourself content with models coming from this brand.
You’ll probably get a better value for your money with the right choice of model but since most of its collection comes with practically the same features, selecting is going to be a no-brainer. You can probably go with the cheapest model and you there wouldn’t be much of a difference.
The only thing that you may want to consider is the load capacity of your Kelvinator washing machine as this tends to vary within the product lines.

hi there
i just purchased a second hand A5503 model, it is working well except the fact that there is a hole(not sure if it is a breather) below the inlet that leakes water out during heavy loads, can you suggest solutions to this challenge.
thank you.
