All About Dyson Washers

Dyson is one of the classic brands of washer, and has been talked about for many years. This company produced stylish, front-loading washers for a long time, and is known for its friendly and reliable customer service.

Unfortunately, Dyson hasn’t made washing machines in a few years. This means buying a new one is impossible. However, used Dyson washing machines are occasionally available. Here’s some basic information you should know if you already own a Dyson or are thinking about picking up a classic machine.

Design

Dyson’s Cr01 washing machine range has a distinctive design. Unlike most machines of their day, these washers are front loading. They also feature eye-catching colors and a rounded shape. Silver and purple is the most common style, but plain silver and silver and blue models also exist.

These washers have a large door and a high capacity drum capable of dealing with a lot of laundry. The outer door is constructed of strong plastic (the same stuff that riot shields are made from), and is built to come off the hinge if stressed.

Reliability

These washers have consistently good reviews from customers. Even those buyers who received a washing machine with a manufacturing flaw report that service personnel have been responsive and that they were not charged for repairs to their machine.

It has been noted that repair people are sometimes slow in arriving to repair the washer, however. Most people state that their Dyson washing machine has served them faithfully for a long time, however.

Features

Unlike many machines, Dyson models are programmable. This allows the user to create up to three programs for washing clothes, much the same way one would program a radio. Select the type of wash, temperature and the speed the washer spins, then press a memory button. The machine will beep once it has memorized your washing program.

While this feature is just an extra, it can be pretty useful. Dyson also offers four separate suspension legs, so that your machine won’t unbalance on an uneven floor, and two motors to operate the tub.

If you need to move your washing machine, a special handle pulls out from under the machine, raising it up on wheels. This makes it simple to move. Once you’ve put the washer where you want it, just push the handle away, and it will be hidden again.

For those who already own a Dyson washer, there’s some good news. While the company has stopped producing the CR01 type, they have announced plans to produce another washer in the future.

This means that you’ll be able to purchase a new machine if yours becomes irreparable. However, since so many people have been able to keep their Dyson running for years, this won’t be a problem for a little while.

Their excellent service program should be able to repair most problems. Even though Dyson has stopped making these washing machines, they’ll still repair them and replace major parts for people who have bought them in the past.
