Creda Washing Machines Reviews
Thinking of a Used Washing Machine? Try Creda Washing Machines…
Why Buy Creda?
There is historically probably no better manufacturer of washing machine than Creda Washing Machines and as a company, they have a long association with the manufacture of household appliances, and over the years have acquired a reputation for reliable and sturdy machines. There are a number of stories about Creda washing machines lasting for thirty years. Brand new, the machines are also very reasonably priced and as a major manufacturer, there are plenty of spare parts still being made, to be used if the need arises.
Short History of Creda
They are a UK manufacturer with a long history, although they are now under Italian ownership. They still produce cookers and tumble dryers, the company no longer makes new washing machines. Taken over by Hotpoint in 1987, it eventually stopped making new washing machines in early 2007, when all washing machines were made under the Hotpoint brand. Hotpoint, Creda and Ariston are now part of the Indesit family of manufacturers.
You may still be able to purchase a new Creda machine from stores with stock remaining; there are though a large number of second-hand machines available as well. It is the second hand market that most machines will be found, although don’t be put off by the fact that they are used; they are generally reliable and reasonably priced machines.
Common Features of Creda Washing Machines
Creda washing machines are well known for being reliable machines, and are normally compact and reasonably priced. The most recent machines have always been freestanding, frontloading washing machines. Unlike many of their competitors, the machines do not come with a drying function. This is not really surprising when you think that they are a major manufacturer of tumble dryers. Despite having no drying function, the company attempted to produce some of the most energy efficient machines available, although it should be said other manufacturers have had more success in this area.
Performance/Ratings of Creda Washing Machines
Most Creda washing machines are either an A or B rating when it comes to overall energy efficiency. The overall rate is often brought down by poor spin efficiency marks, often at B level, compared with a higher washing efficiency rating. Take care though as some of the cheaper models had very poor efficiency ratings.
Popular Models of Creda Washing Machines
In the early part of 2004 there were four main Creda washing machines on the market; the W100, W120, W200 and W220. There is actually very little difference to choose between the models, slight differences occurring in the spin speeds, capacities, and efficiency ratings. The W100 and W120 were perhaps the least powerful and least efficient especially when it comes to washing efficiency, although this was also reflected in a value correspondingly lower than the cost of the W200 and W220. These latter two models of Creda washing machines have a load capacity of 5.5kg, and comes with the best levels of efficiency although they did fail to exceed B ratings for their spin cycles.
